Hugo Menduiña

Barcelona, 1971
After graduating in Philosophy, Hugo exclusively returns to his passion for photography. In his early days as a photographer he collaborated with magazines such as el Dominical from El Periódico, the Magazine from La Vanguardia, Marie Claire, Elle, Vanidad and Fotogramas among others. He works with the best National advertising agencies and wins several LAUS and LUX fashion awards. On a more artistic level, he publishes with the DOM PÉRIGNON FOUNDATION a book on dance “lucía & hugo & dompérignon”, with the dancer Lucía Lacarrá, which allows him to continue researching moving photog-raphy.
Inevitably, his love for photography, movement and cinema led Hugo to begin a very successful career as an international advertising director that has lasted for 20 years. With a clearly narrative style and a high aesthetic level, influenced by his training as a photographer, Hugo wins notable awards at the San Sebastian Festival, Fiap, and some of his pieces are shortlisted at the Cannes Festival .
Currently, Hugo collaborates with his own production company, Friki Films, in the production and devel-opment of scripts for both documentary and fiction projects.
